If you only save one number, save 112. It is the European emergency number, it is free from any phone, it works 24 hours a day, and the Balearic emergency service that answers it takes calls in English and German as well as Spanish and Catalan. The operator sends whatever is needed: ambulance, fire brigade, police or rescue.
Our print guide carried a page of useful addresses and telephone numbers. Several of those have since changed or closed, so we checked every number below on the official site of the service itself in October 2026, and cut the ones we could not confirm.

How do you report a crime as a visitor in Mallorca?
In an emergency, call 112, 091 or 062. For anything that has already happened, such as a stolen bag, you can file a report online or in person.
- Online: the Policía Nacional's virtual reporting office accepts reports in English, French and German as well as Spanish. The report only takes legal effect once you sign it at the police station you chose, within 72 hours.
- Tourist offices of the Guardia Civil (SATE): in season, the Guardia Civil runs tourist assistance offices in Magaluf and Peguera (Calvià), Playas de Muro and Can Picafort, where officers help foreign visitors in their own language with reports, consular steps and card cancellations.
- AlertCops: the official app of the Policía Nacional and Guardia Civil lets you alert the police from your phone, with your location.
How do you contact your consulate in Mallorca?
Several countries keep a consulate in Palma, among them the United Kingdom and Germany, and many more have honorary consuls on the island or cover the Balearics from Madrid or Barcelona. Most consulates see visitors by appointment only and keep an out-of-hours line for emergencies such as an arrest or a serious accident.
Your own foreign ministry's website has the current address and phone number; numbers change, so look them up there rather than relying on an old list. If you are moving to the island rather than visiting, our relocation partners and services directory cover the practical side, from paperwork to home management.
