The richest choice is around Palma, where five 18-hole courses sit within a short drive of the city. The southwest, around Calvià and Andratx, adds four more, and the northeast coast, between Artà, Capdepera and Son Servera, has a cluster of its own.
Every course below has been checked as operating in 2026. Green fees, handicap limits and buggy rules vary and change by season, so we leave them to the clubs: book directly and ask.

Which are the best golf courses near Palma?
If you are staying in or near the city, you can play a different course each day without driving more than half an hour.
- Golf Son Gual, a private, family-run members' club east of Palma that takes visitor bookings and is known for the condition of its course all year.
- Arabella Golf Mallorca runs three championship 18-hole courses at Son Vida, in the hills above the city: Son Vida, Son Muntaner and Son Quint, plus a 9-hole pitch and putt.
- T Golf Palma, the former Golf Park Puntiró, the only course on the island from the Jack Nicklaus design stable.
- Real Golf de Bendinat, a hilly course just west of Palma, with palms and glimpses of the sea.
Which courses are on the southwest coast near Calvià and Andratx?
The southwest pairs well with a stay in Port d'Andratx, Santa Ponça or Portals. Golf Santa Ponsa I, designed by Folco Nardi and opened in 1977, has hosted the European Tour six times, and its 590 metre tenth hole is one of the longest in Europe. The club's two other courses, Santa Ponsa II and III, are for members only.
Golf de Andratx at Camp de Mar, opened in 2000, is the most dramatic of the group: hilly, demanding and with views over the mountains and the sea. T Golf Calvià, the former Golf Poniente, completes the area. For a base nearby, read our guide to Port d'Andratx and the Serra de Tramuntana.
Which courses are in the north and east of the island?
In the north, Club de Golf Alcanada opened in 2003 on the bay of Alcúdia, right beside the sea. Golf Pollença is a 9-hole course near the old town, ideal for a shorter round.
The northeast has the island's second cluster. Capdepera Golf begins on flat farmland and finishes with six holes climbing into the hills. Canyamel Golf, a par 73, sits close to the coast, while Pula Golf and Club de Golf Son Servera are a few minutes apart, north of Cala Millor. Son Servera, founded in 1967, has since grown from nine to 18 holes. Further south, Vall d'Or Golf at S'Horta looks out to sea between Cala d'Or and Portocolom.
When is the best time of year to play golf in Mallorca?
Spring and autumn. From March to May and from late September to November the weather is usually mild, the courses are green and the light is long enough for a full round in comfort. The Balearic tourist board promotes the islands as a place to play 365 days a year, and winter golf is a real option on bright, calm days.
- March to May: peak golf season. Book tee times well ahead, especially around Easter.
- June to August: hot by late morning. Take the first tee times of the day or play late in the afternoon.
- September to November: quieter courses, often settled weather and, early in the season, a warm sea for a swim after the round.
- December to February: cooler and quieter, with occasional rain, but good value and often perfectly playable.
What do you need to know before booking a round in Mallorca?
- Book tee times directly with the club or through its website, and book early for spring.
- Check the handicap limit and bring your certificate.
- Ask about buggies: on hilly courses such as Andratx and Bendinat you will be glad of one.
- Check whether the course is open to visitors: Santa Ponsa II and III are members only, and La Reserva Rotana is reserved for hotel guests.
- Confirm green fees for your dates, as they change by season and time of day.
