Restaurant Olivera - Little sister of the double Michelin-starred Restaurant Zaranda

MALLORQUISSIMO LADIES LUNCH MARCH 2016

When ladies meet for lunch the location must be in style and the food superb. As it had been at the last Mallorquissimo Ladies Lunch at Restaurant Olivera. The elegant restaurant is one of two at Castell Son Claret in Es Capdella, one of the best hotels in Mallorca. The chef Fernando Perez Arellano and its team just achieved the second Michelin star with the restaurant Zaranda, open for dinner in the same building. For lunch, Restaurant Olivera serves every day an excellent 3 courses menu for  hotel guests and external clients. Price is 29,90 Euro and includes 2 starters to choose, main course and dessert.

Our ladies first got pampered with a warming potato carrot soup, all served in taylor made plates in Mallorcan style. In between the courses, there was plenty of time to talk about ladies things and exchange business cards. The main course was set to be a fine Fish & Chips. Alternatively for those ladies not eating fish, an excellent home made pasta with fresh tomatoes and herbs was prepared. And they know how to cook pasta the real Italian way - al dente, with fresh ingredients and few juice. Delicious! Dessert was a highlight and absolutely adapted to ladies (taking care of weight): Frozen Joghurt with several toppings for self service.

And because we loved the food and the restaurant so much we will hold the next Mallorquissimo Ladies Lunch at Restaurant Olivera again. Date and time of the event will be published soon.

The Terrace-Restaurant Olivera welcomes guests with a breakfast buffet ‘a la casa’ in the morning and serves light Mediterranean dishes as snacks during the day as well as lunch. In the evening Olivera transforms into a place that offers the typical Spanish-Mediterranean cuisine a la carte. The extensively stocked wine cellar, which also holds excellent Majorcan wines, leaves nothing to be desired for.
